The 4-hectare Mépillat lake lies alongside the campsite. Entirely dedicated to fishing, you’ll find carp, gudgeon, pike, trout, black bass, tench… Linger around this beautiful, relaxing stretch of water for a siesta, picnic or fishing trip.
You can also go for walks and hikes around the pond.

Perfect for a nature break, this open-air hotel offers a host of activities and entertainment for the whole family. During your stay, you can take advantage of the campsite’s swimming pool and other facilities such as the HomeBall pitch, ping-pong tables, fitness area, pétanque pitch, inflatable structure (for children)… You can also spend some quality time with your loved ones, for example hiking, dining in the on-site restaurant or enjoying a spot of fishing on the pond bordering the estate.

Rehabilitated at the end of 2021, the Mépillat pond now offers all the facilities you need to spend a pleasant moment in a truly natural setting.
A large wooden playground with monkey bridge, slide, nets and other safe equipment will keep children entertained.
All around the pond, you’ll find a stabilized path for a bucolic stroll. Along the way, you’ll find benches where you can stop and contemplate nature, as well as informative totems. Come and stroll along this beautiful stretch of water, where ducks, herons and kingfishers live side by side.
Sleep just a stone’s throw from a fishing pond
In terms of accommodation, the campsite has everything you need for a good night’s sleep. If you’re more the fishing and nature type, you’ll be tempted by one of our spacious pitches. But if you’re looking for more comfort, you can opt for a more traditional mobile home. If you’re looking for a complete change of scenery during your vacation, you’ll opt for one of our yurts or tipi chalets, which will ensure evenings full of memories after your days fishing on the Etang de Mépillat.
Is it possible to swim in the lake next to the campsite?
No, it’s forbidden to swim in the pond.
It was created for fishing only.
The campsite itself offers a lovely pool for cooling off and lounging.
Can I fish in the pond?
Yes, fishing is authorized on condition that you purchase an annual fishing permit or daily fishing tickets.
Campsite guests can purchase these for €5.00 (cash or cheque only).
You can then put your line in the water and try to catch lots of fish.
What types of fish can you catch?
You can fish for carp, whitefish, tench, pike, zander and trout.
